Process

Welcome to Grand Mountain Stone. We pride ourselves on providing and installing the highest quality products at reasonable prices. Everything we install meets or exceeds industry standards set forth by The Marble Institute of America.

CONCEPT PHASE This is the fun part where you gather information and collect ideas of how your space will look, then decide what type of material you are interested in. (Granite or Quartz are the most popular, but there are also other options)

Design Phase This is when you begin to design your cabinet layout and size of countertop. A well designed cabinet layout can help to avoid extra seams. You will want to know what material you want and what your slab sizes are because they do vary. (Quartz suppliers have their own slab sizes. Granite, Marble, Quartzite, Dolamite and Soapstone slab sizes will vary) I suggest you visit a slab supplier and choose your slabs to hold for your fabricator.

Bidding This is where we will need your cabinet diagrams or design plans as well as the vendor information and material. We will also collect details for fabrication that will help us provide the most accurate bid possible. The information that will be collected is sink info (self rimming, vessel or undermount), edge details, overhang sizes (to help determine if supports are needed), backsplash and any special requests.

Contract Once all the details have been finalized a contract will be created reflecting all details (edge, sink info, estimated square footage and materials) and pricing discussed in the bid phase. We require a signed copy of the contract and a 50% deposit. Once that is received your template and install dates will be set.

Template You are one step closer to completing your project. On the day of template, we will confirm all details of your project and get the exact dimensions of your countertops so that we can fabricate your slabs. Also, we will be taking any undermount sink back to our shop to ensure all cutouts are fabricated to your expectations.

Install Today is the big day you are getting your new countertops! Our skilled installers will arrive ready to fit and set your new beautiful countertops. Keep in mind this is construction and it can be a messy process, but in the end it will be all worth it!
